This hands-on course is designed for broadcast engineers who need to diagnose, troubleshoot, and stabilise IP-based contribution and distribution workflows in real-world environments. The programme builds a solid foundation in IP delivery, covering unicast and multicast concepts, IGMP behaviour, and the practical realities of running media over IP networks. Participants then move into detailed analysis of how SDI is transported over IP using SMPTE 2022 and SMPTE 2110, including timing, synchronisation, and PTP. Key interoperability technologies such as NMOS, NDI, SRT, RIST, Zixi, JPEG XS, RTMP, and IPMX are examined in depth, with a strong focus on fault identification and resolution. The course is highly practical, with extensive hands-on labs using real systems—either on-site or accessed remotely—and can be tailored to the client’s specific workflows, platforms, and operational challenges.
Prerequisite: solid broadcast engineering experience.
