This practical, hands-on workshop is designed to build confidence in installing, managing, and operating the ELK stack by making effective use of official online resources and documentation.Starting from a clean environment, participants work through each layer of the stack to understand how Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats function individually and how they fit together as a complete observability and analytics platform. The workshop takes a bottom-up approach, focusing on real operational tasks and scaling considerations relevant to enterprise environments.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to install and configure a full ELK stack, understand the responsibilities of each component, work with the Elasticsearch API, create custom Logstash transformations, and use Kibana to explore data, build visualisations, and create dashboards across multiple datasets. Participants will also learn how data is stored and managed within a cluster, how to import dashboards, and how to maintain and clear data safely.
Pre-requisites The course is aimed at practitioners with a working knowledge of Linux command-line environments, basic file editing, and remote access tools such as SSH.
